Locating Lasham by Road and Rail We are fortunate that Lasham is situated near major road and rail routes.
Travelling by Train
From London
Start at Waterloo Station (Just south of the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square, over the river).
Via Basingstoke: fast line, 43 minutes, frequent trains. Lasham then 8 miles south by bus or taxi
Via Alton:
slow line, infrequent trains, 1 hour 10 minutes, Lasham then 4 miles north by taxi
From Guildford
Train to Aldershot then to Alton as above.
Travelling by Road
Directions from M3 North or South
Leave the M3 at Junction 6 and take the exit towards Basingstoke. At the next roundabout, turn left onto the A30 towards Alton. At the next roundabout turn left and follow the A339 towards Alton. After about 5 miles on the A339, turn left (signposted ‘Lasham Gliding’) into the Avenue. Ignore signs to ATC Lasham and the Lasham Gliding Society main entrance and after about a mile turn right (signposted ‘Lasham’ and ‘Highfield Site’). Entry to the airfield is about ½ a mile on the right.
Directions from A31
IGNORE YOUR SATNAV AND SIGNS TO LASHAM VILLAGE. Follow the A339/B3349 towards Basingstoke/Odiham. About ½ a mile after passing under the railway line, you will come to a T junction; turn right to take the B3349 towards Odiham, not left towards Basingstoke. Turn left at the next mini roundabout. After around 2 ½ miles, turn left at the Golden Pot crossroads (signposted ‘Lasham’ and Shalden’) into the Avenue. After just over a mile, around 150 yards beyond the garden centre, turn left (signposted ‘Lasham’ and ‘Highfield Site’). Entry to the airfield is about ½ a mile on the right.
Lasham by Air
Arrival by air is strictly 'Prior Permission Required' at least one week before the event. An arrival slot (between 8:00am and 11:00am) and departure slot will be alocated for 6th of September. Book your slot with the office on 01256 384900. The cost for flying in is £ 20 payable by credit card over the phone in advance, not on the day. All proceeds will be going to the Lasham Trust and the British Disabled Flying Association.
